9-11 year olds
Throughout the spring term, our focus will be on ‘Tudor Britain’. We will be focusing on: the conflict among Catholics and Protestants, the key historical figures, day to day life and exploring the divide between the rich and poor.
During English sessions, the children will be developing their spoken language to enhance their written pieces. Through studying newspapers, the children will use a range of sentence starters, conjunctions and paragraphs.
Within Maths, the students will learn how to find percentages of amounts and to then how to apply this knowledge to a range of problem solving situations.
During each school day, we are encouraging the children to make healthy life choices by eating fruit at break time and by completing the daily mile. In PE lessons, the children will be taking part in netball and gymnastics.
